I remember the days, when I ran my own business all by myself. I was the business. If I didn't get up in the morning, nothing would happen. If things went well, I would share the success with.... myself. Let's take a step back.

After learning the tricks of the trade and gaining the confidence, I got a kick in the pants from the business I tinted for as a contractor. This forced me to earn a living back in my old trade.

Fortunately I had a solid baking background; this enabled me to work early mornings and weekends. In the afternoons and days off in the bakery, I would change clothes, get my tinting kit out and build my own window tinting business. Few customers knew, but when asked, I was always busy. I just forgot to tell them that I was busy baking.

In my mind, I had a successful window tinting business. I could see it grow and would never accept failure. My driver was the need to survive, pay the bills and get my life back onto an even keel, without the need to work 18 hours a day.

One thing you need to make it alone, is PMA. A Positive Mental Attitude. Not everybody has this. Over time it is hard to maintain, unless you have a team of supporters.

Now a few years on and some experiences later, Tint Pro is helping other window tinters in their own businesses to grow and succeed. We offer this to people all over New Zealand, where we can help and advise in a non-competitive environment. Unfortunately, for the Auckland area it is a bit harder, as we do directly compete for the customers.
