We had a very hectic couple of weeks, with preparation for the HomeShow, the show itself, some planned holidays for one of our team and just generally business picking up with spring starting.
During the show, most of our team have helped on our stand after hours and during the weekend, one of them offering her help and staying on, despite a bad cold. Unfortunately, this cold has developed into something more serious now and this lady is to take the week off.
Immediately our young lady, who is normally in charge of all the graphic and marketing designs has stepped up and taken over her colleague's tasks without being asked. After two days, she has caught up with the work and admires the other person's tenacity for doing such "boring" work, day in, day out for all these years.
What I admire and probably fail to appreciate most of the time, is the importance of a dedicated team. Doing the same "boring and thankless" task of credit control, chasing people for money in a friendly way, keeping the accounts up to date, organise the banking and reconcile everything, so I can spend more money again. I also admire the willingness of team members taking over jobs, which they don't like, but do them without being asked.
So, Ladies, thank you!
If you happen to contact us over the next few days, please appreciate that you are dealing with some rather special people.
