Growing pains

Our team is made up of a mixture of old hands and newbies. Us "old" people have been there from day one, when the business was in our heads. We did each job from start to finish, answer the phone, arrange for the quote, do the quote, plan the film cutting, cut the film, write the invoice, install the film, collect the payment, enter the payment, do the banking and repeat.

We knew everything about every customer.
Now. We have 3 people answering the phones, clearing emails and faxes. We have 5-6 people doing the quotes, there are 3 people in the office cutting film, doing the paperwork, organising installations. We have 5-6 people installing the window film. And then there are the additional things, such as marketing, accounting, purchasing and business support.

Now I walk into the office, trying to find an empty space and find out what is going on. And I'm supposed to be the boss! I don't know who did what, where and to whom.

Sometimes, the early days have a certain appeal to them. Trail blazing and scruff of the neck stuff. Now, systems, files, back-ups, schedules and..........

......... a great team of willing people, contributing, sharing ideas and eager to get things right first time! In these times of uncertainty, we keep moving forward and I'm proud of each and every one of them!

Can anyone relate to this?
Still Tint Professionals at heart!

Update: I have achieved my goal, back to a smaller team, less stress....
